Haven Panel NYCC 2012
Alright, so I managed to make it to the Haven panel this morning. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the best seat or have the best camera so my pictures aren’t too great (I’ll try to clean them up in photoshop and post them later). I did get some good tidbits of information from the panel. (Putting this behind a Read More so people aren’t spoiled if they don’t want to be)
- Lucas, Eric, and Adam were goofing off and being silly the whole panel. Emily kept putting her face in her hands and laughing.
- Lucas and Eric were hugging/groping/idek and it was hysterical and cute.
- Lucas was constantly making faces (adorable faces) and at one point faked sobbing/getting emotional as he told a story.
- According to one of the writers Nathan and Jordan get ‘hot and sexy’ and, as the writer put it, ‘stuff pops off.’
- There was talk of how awesome Kate Kelton is.
- There’s more sex this season.
- Emily almost chipped Eric’s tooth during the filming of episode 4 and he apparently accidentally hocked two loogies in her face during the filming of episode 3.
- There’s apparently a ‘love thing’ or love related plot that ‘only Haven could do’ mid/end of the season.
- Episode 6 is the Halloween episode titled ‘Real Estate.’ This refers to both emotional and physical real estate.
- From what everyone was saying, the finale will be a cliffhanger.
- Something extreme and dramatic will happen at the end of the season.
- When asked if Audrey will really disappear at the end of the season, one of the writer candidly said ‘in front of your eyes, technically.’ (They were really trying to avoid talking too much about this)
- In the last episode, Audrey will start singing at an emotional moment. That wasn’t in the script, Emily Rose improvised that.
- We find out more about Sarah for sure.
- This season focuses a lot on exploring the mythology of the Colorado Kid.
- Yes, they have tried to get Stephen King to appear in an episode. The offer is open but he hasn’t taken them up on it (yet).
- Vince and Dave know way more than they’re letting on and we will find out more about the extent of what they know.
- I was actually the first person to ask a question during the Q&A. Eric brought up that episode 7 was his favorite episode so I asked the rest of the cast if they had a favorite episode from this season. Lucas was being cheeky and just nodded and went ‘Yup’ but didn’t say anything else so I added ‘And what are they?’
- Emily Rose: Episode 9 & 13
- Lucas Bryant: Episode 9
- Eric Balfour: Episode 7 & 9
- Adam Copeland: Episode 13
- No, they were not able to tell us anythingabout episode 9 so I’m guessing its a pretty big episode. Eric asked if he was allowed to say anything and the writers said no.
- During the Q&A someone got up and asked Eric if there was going to be a ‘Big Wolf On Campus’ reunion. Eric was obviously confused because the guy had mistaken him for a different actor. It was both hysterical and awkward.
- They talked about how Jordan’s power differs from Rogue from X-Men (Rouge can kill, Jordan’s just causes extreme pain)
- They were asked about what super power they’d want:
- Emily: For a while it was the ability to teleport places but now it is the ability to cook since she said she needs help in that area.
- Lucas: He ermed and ummed for a second and before he could answer Emily piped up and said ‘He’d want the ability to talk’ and Lucas just nodded and went along with it.
- Eric: The ability to have Panda Express food appear right in front of him whenever he wanted no matter where he was.
- Adam: He said ‘Colossus’ and said who wouldn’t want to be made of iron. Then he made a joke about not needing viagra.
- We were shown a ‘behind the scenes’ documentary about the filming of Episode 6 which was directed by Jason Priestly (Chris Brody). It was titled ‘The Haunted House is Haunted’ and was about 15 or 20mins long and showed them preparing to film and filming parts of the episode.
- Emily was playing with her dog outside and it was SUPER adorable.
- Adam and Lucas pretended to almost kiss.
- A paranormal investigator contacted them while they were filming in the house and told them it was haunted. He was very serious about this. He suggested some cleansing rituals. Lucas and one of the crew actually did them. It involved bending over with your hands on the ground and repeating some sentences about banishing evil spirits.
- By the time they were done filming at the house they all wanted to blow it up for real (it gets blown up in the episode).
There’s definitely more that I’m not remembering because I’m exhausted right now. I also left out a lot of stuff that the writers talked about because my brain is too dead to remember who was who and names. I’ll probably do a Part 2 of this if I remember more (and once I take a nap) Feel free to ask me anything and I’ll answer as best I can. It was a long panel (10.30 - 12.00) so there was a lot of stuff said. Overall it was AWESOME! :D
